Globalstar Subsidiary, Spot, Re-launches PDT Designed Global Phone
As a testament to the solid design created by Qualcomm and PDT years ago, Spot, a subsidiary of Global Star, has re-launched The Global Phone, one of the company’s first consumer-facing phones.
Our teams addressed myriad challenges, including antenna technology requiring an oversized transceiver for reliable communication, while delivering on user demands for a small, portable device that can be appropriate for frequent daily use. Quick, reliable deployment, activation, and operation were priority as well as resistance to the elements. The hierarchy of emergency preparedness, business continuity and recreational durability were blended in order to present a use and user focused solution.
