PDT has expanded its reach geographically for the second time in a year. Our newest office in Plymouth, Minnesota is open for business and is positioned to be in the heart of the area's booming medical industry. Our global team has also been working toward ISO 13485 certification, a quality management system specifically for medical devices. Upon completion of the audit process, PDT will be the only design firm in the United States with this qualification, making us an asset to our clients in the industry. PDT will be exhibiting at the upcoming Medical Design and Manufacturing show in Minneapolis this November. If you'd like to attend and meet the Minnesota team, please email us at askpdt@pdt.com and we'll send you a free pass.

PDT has collaborated with Qualcomm to develop a function-packed concept handset. The innovative unit is powered by the Enhanced Multimedia Platform's MS M6550 chipset solution which provides enough power, speed and efficiency to run a variety of feature-rich multimedia that will expand the cutting edge options available on a handset. This concept in particular proposes audio, video encode and playback, a camera and 3-D graphics and gaming in addition to other capabilities.
PDT's multidisciplinary approach implemented research, design, engineering and tooling to create an ultra user-friendly component configuration and an elegant as well as functionally practical form. The phone utilizes a unique hinge that allows the user to effortlessly open and close the phone as well as twist the upper half of the handset to better accommodate the multimedia functions.
