Resulting from the continued synergy between PDT and Cobra, the 2008 lineup of radars solidifies Cobra's commitment to design leadership. The radar family designed for the 2008 model year was a design exercise that involved the celebration of the successful design history that Cobra has enjoyed for over a decade. Utilizing upfront end user and market research tactics, the PDT team created a bold, yet appropriate visual design language for the targeted demographic. Together with the involvement of our talented UI team, we were able to create a balanced design that gave the user an abundance of features without the complexity. The creation of appropriate graphics and animations made the interface easy to follow and entertaining. This is the main contributor to Cobra’s increasingly large market dominance by leveraging PDT's mechanical engineering expertise, the industrial design team was able to maintain initial design intent throughout the program.
Significant additions to the lineup include improved user interaction via the addition of color OLED modules, strategic Color/Material/Finish specification and visual design cues signifying Cobra's tiered branding segmentation.
