Continuing the partnership, Cobra asked PDT to produce its’ next generation navigation unit. PDT’s user interface group was challenged with creating a design that is both safe and visually appealing. The team worked to optimize the large touch screen and to create an interface based on user observations.
The NavOne 4500 enables users to make quick decisions based on live traffic information when selecting a route. A simplified menu structure organizes the appropriate features intuitively for easy a multiple range of users. All features were laid out to minimize the time it takes to complete each task. Buttons are large and positioned on the screen to provide easy visibility, selectiblity, and large map view.
