The Fellowes Venus and Jupiter Laminators were designed with the serious office user in mind. They are the first laminators designed to truly address jamming and cleaning issues at a consumer level. The laminators feature a variety of innovative operator functions including the option of LED (Jupiter) or LCD (Venus) displays and the ability to open the machine for cleaning and servicing. The team created two patented features, a unique, patented, easy access opening design to allow the user to recover documents and clean the rollers as well as a heat guard that protects the user while the product is in use by minimizing the surface temperatures of the product. As this was to be an internationally marketed product, the interface was very important in the design. The GUI team creating an icon driven interface, therefore overcoming all language barriers and ensuring that it is very intuitive to use.
