Fellowes called on PDT to develop a new yet cohesive design language for its 2007 family of laminators and binders. With a focus on unique styling and aesthetics, the binders and laminators pioneered a new design language and brand identity for Fellowes. The project included the development of two low tier binders and two middle tier models. The 'Star' and 'Starlet' binders are base models with a lower price point designed with lower sheet capacity for home and home office use. Two middle tier versions, the 'Quasar' and 'Pulsar', were developed to handle higher sheet capacity for small to medium office use. In addition, the 'Quasar E' was developed to offer an electronic automatic model. The team implemented innovative features into the new line of binders with a focus on office environments and the unique needs of office users including storability, portability and feature built-in size gauge, storage tray and easy access paper clip tray.
