Qualcomm's 2net platform is designed as a cloud-based platform for connecting mobile health devices while communicating data, making the data available across the continuum of care. It is an FDA listed Class I Medical Device Data System (MDDS) in the U.S., Class I MDD and CE registered in Europe, and Class I in Canada.
PDT assembled a multi-disciplinary team of product designers, mechanical engineers and model makers to create the 2net Hub, part of the ground-breaking 2net Platform. The Hub boasts Bluetooth, wifi and cellular capabilities and was designed to work with other medical devices with short range radios (BT and wifi) to gather medical information then send it to the user's doctor over the cell network.
The novel telehealth system is designed for security and to facilitate interoperability. The 2net Hub is used to access the 2net Platform data center, serving to enable machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity both inside and outside the home. It is designed for use at home with a scale, blood pressure monitor or other stationary medical or health devices.
