This year, I was struck by the unique integration of greenery in designs. Rather than plants being placed on tables as after thoughts, there were some great examples of plants integrated into designs. I noticed a peat moss wall, grass flooring and succulents embedded into designs. I'm looking forward to scouting the show again next year!

This year at Neocon, I thought smart desks really took a step forward in encouraging us to get up and move around by including features such as smart phone connectivity and incorporating haptic feedback.

Aircharge // An aftermarket accessory for iphone/android requiring a pod to plug into the phone that offers wireless charging. Cool feature now – will it work with next gen devices that have real wireless charging built in?

AIS Desk Control

E Ink Prism is fully programmable and boasts low power consumption.

The Steelcase Room Wizard Booking system's functionality is needed, but it's another gadget and ui to learn. Could there be another solution?

As I walked through the floors of Neocon this year, I noticed how spaces were divided in creative ways. Some leveraged furniture placement or accents, but I took note of the dividers. I found the way some used different materials, textures and shapes to make graphic statements while establishing spaces for inclusivity or exclusivity very interesting.

My favorite product at Neocon this year was Turf's "Swell" line of acoustic ceiling tiles. Turf was able to take a commercial product and transform it into a desirable design element.
