PDT worked to design the Mobile Development Platform Tablet Based on the Snapdragon™ 810 (8994) Processor by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a tablet that would serve as a reference platform to showcase their Snapdragon™ chip sets.
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. provided the electrical design and the IFP (Internal Function Platform) to design around, and the PDT team completed the industrial and mechanical design and prototype. An engineer from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. spent time on-site in PDT's Ukraine office to work directly with our mechanical engineering team.
An appearance model was crafted in-house, using printed parts.
After working with the Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. team on color explorations, the final scheme was a muted, sophisticated palette. A dock, with ports for video out networking and programming, holds the device in landscape orientation.
The result is a slick tablet that helped Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. demonstrate the power, breath-taking speed, jaw-dropping graphics and long battery life supported by their Snapdragon™ Chipset.
